TradePro Inc ("we," "us," "our," or "TradePro") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our service.

Information We Collect
We collect personal information in two ways:
From Consumers (via Meta Lead Forms or our booking pages)
When you fill out a TradePro home-services lead form on Meta (Facebook, Instagram, or Messenger) — covering flooring, fencing, renovations, epoxy, and related trades — or book a quote on one of our landing pages, we collect:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Postal code or service address
- Email address (if provided)
- Project type (your home-improvement service inquiry)
- Timeline for the project
From Contractors (via signup.tradepro.ca)
When you sign up as a contractor via our signup form, we collect:
- Your name
- Phone number (where leads will be delivered via SMS)
- Business name
- Email address
- City and postal code you serve
- Service area radius
- Billing information (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card details)
How We Use Your Information
For Consumers
- To match your home-improvement inquiry with qualified contractors in your area
- To send your information via SMS to the contractor(s) who will call you
- To connect you with a contractor by phone, and to record, transcribe, and automatically assess that call to confirm it was handled and to improve lead quality (see "Call Recording and Transcription" below)
- To train our lead-routing algorithm (how well leads convert helps us find better customers next time)
- To run Meta advertising campaigns and measure their effectiveness
- To comply with legal obligations
For Contractors
- To deliver consumer leads to your phone via SMS during your set hours
- To process billing, charging you per lead at the rate you agreed to
- To send onboarding instructions and administrative messages
- To manage your account (pause/resume, update service area, track lead history)
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud
Data Flow and Sharing
Critical transparency: When you submit a TradePro lead form, your information is shared with:
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram). Your responses are sent to Meta's servers as part of their lead form service.
- TradePro's backend, We receive and store your information to route it to contractors.
- One local contractor, We send your full name, phone number, address, and job description via SMS so they can contact you about your project, and we maintain a private lead-tracker spreadsheet (hosted on Google) for that contractor containing the leads we deliver to them.
- Meta Conversions API, We send back automated call-quality signals (real/junk/no-answer) to Meta so their ad algorithm learns which types of leads convert to real jobs.
We do NOT sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
SMS opt-in data is never sold, rented, or shared. Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in information collected on this site will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third parties or affiliates for promotional, marketing, or lead-generation purposes. This applies to all SMS opt-in data regardless of how it was collected (signup form, calendar booking, or any other channel on trade-pro.ca).
Call Recording and Transcription
When a contractor is connected to you through our calling system, the call may be recorded. We use these recordings to:
- confirm the lead reached the right contractor and was handled, and
- transcribe the call and automatically assess its outcome (for example, whether a quote was booked), which helps us improve the quality of leads we deliver.
Recordings and their transcripts are processed by Groq, Inc. (a United States AI service provider) solely to generate the transcript and outcome assessment. They are not used to identify you for any other purpose, and are never sold or shared for marketing.
Under Canadian law (single-party consent), we are permitted to record calls placed through our system. If you do not wish to be recorded, tell the contractor at the start of the call or email us at hello@trade-pro.ca.
Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following vendors to operate our service. They act as data processors under our instructions:
- Meta (Facebook Inc), Lead form collection, ad targeting, Conversions API for conversion tracking.
- Supabase (PostgreSQL database), Hosted in Canada-East region. Stores lead data, contractor accounts, and billing records.
- Telnyx, SMS delivery and calling provider. Sends leads and messages to contractors' phones and places connecting calls.
- Google (Google Sheets / Google Workspace), We maintain a private lead-tracker spreadsheet for each contractor containing the leads we deliver to them (name, phone, address, job details). Hosted by Google; access is restricted to the contractor and TradePro. United States.
- Groq, Inc., Transcription and automated outcome assessment of recorded calls (see "Call Recording and Transcription" above). United States.
- Stripe, Payment processor. Handles contractor billing only. Does NOT process consumer payments (consumers never pay directly).
Each vendor has their own privacy policy. We have data processing agreements in place requiring them to protect your data according to this policy.
Data Retention
- Consumer lead data (name, phone, address, job details): Stored for 24 months to support lead delivery, contractor follow-up, and algorithm training. Deleted after 24 months unless you request deletion sooner.
- Contractor account data (business details, service area, phone): Retained while your account is active. Deleted 30 days after you close your account.
- Billing records (invoices, payment history): Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations.
- SMS records (conversation history): Retained for 12 months, then aggregated for algorithm training and deleted.
- Call recordings and transcripts: Retained for 12 months to confirm lead handling and improve lead quality, then deleted. You may request earlier deletion.
Your Privacy Rights (PIPEDA Compliance)
TradePro is subject to Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to:
- Access: Request to see what personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct any inaccurate information.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information. We will comply within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain data (e.g., billing records).
- Withdraw consent: Stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.

Cookies and Analytics
We do NOT use tracking pixels or analytics on consumers. We do not know who you are until you fill out the lead form.
Contractors: We use PostHog for product analytics on the /admin dashboard. PostHog helps us understand how contractors use the platform so we can improve it. PostHog does not sell your data.
Meta CAPI: When our system grades the outcome of a call, we send a hashed version of that quality signal (the conversion signal, not personal data) back to Meta's Conversions API. This helps Meta improve ad targeting for our contractor partners generally, not to track you individually.
Minors
TradePro is not designed for minors under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided their information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact hello@trade-pro.ca.
Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. This includes:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Restricted access to databases containing personal data
- Regular security updates and patches
- Secure backup and disaster recovery procedures
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work diligently to protect your data.
International Data Transfers
Supabase (our primary database) is hosted in Canada-East. Stripe (payment processing), Groq (call transcription), and Google (contractor lead-tracker spreadsheets) may store or process data in the United States. When data crosses borders, we ensure it is protected under data processing agreements that meet Canadian privacy standards.
Links to Third-Party Sites
Our website and communications may contain links to third-party websites (Meta, Stripe, etc.). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing your information.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here with a new "Last updated" date. If the change is significant, we will notify contractors via email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
